“You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves."

Postpartum Doula Care
On the other side of birth, a new mother or birthing person is just as vulnerable and raw as the child who is getting to know life outside the womb for the first time. Learning how to care for your baby requires the fullness of your heart and your attention, so every bit of support you accept gives you more space to bond with your baby, rest and root into your new role. MOTSY postpartum care is more than just physical support and it’s not about doing postpartum “right.” It is about creating an experience that is handmade and deeply personal, built around your needs, values and priorities.
My role as your postpartum doula and lactation consultant is to bring steadiness, insight and deep respect as you navigate the unfolding of new parenthood. We begin with the preparation phase, which is a time to get clear on your expectations and priorities while identifying the support that will matter most to you. Together, we’ll put the right people and resources in place so you feel fully prepared. By the time your baby arrives, your village is ready, your pantry is filled with healing, nutrient-dense foods and you can turn your attention to what matters most: resting, recovering and bonding with your baby.
Once your baby arrives, you’ll be held in a safe and well-supported cocoon, free to bond with your little one and fully embrace the tenderness of this season. Bodywork, nourishment, lactation support, and postpartum and infant education form the foundation of your customized care plan. The way we lean on each one will shift depending on your needs. If your priority is deep physical recovery one day, we may focus on restorative meals and gentle bodywork. If you’re eager to build confidence with your baby, we might center our time that day on hands-on infant education or personalized feeding guidance. Each visit is intentionally designed to bring these pillars into harmony, so your care feels balanced and deeply supportive.
As an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), I bring clinical lactation expertise into every layer of your postpartum care, so your feeding journey is supported with both evidence-based guidance and intuitive, mother-centered care.

01
Nourishment
Food is more than sustenance. It is ceremony, comfort and cellular repair. Warm and nutritious meals will help replenish lost nutrients, increase circulation and, if breastfeeding, encourage an abundant milk supply. Each meal is prepared with Ayurvedic-inspired principles that will support your body in healing, adapting and caring for your baby. Warm soups, sipping broths, slow-cooked meats and creamy porridges are always in regular rotation.
02
Lactation and Feeding
Breastfeeding is a relationship that unfolds moment by moment. You deserve steady, compassionate guidance through every stage of it. As both your postpartum doula and your in-home IBCLC, I offer continuity of care that begins before birth and carries through the early days, challenges and long-term milestones. My approach blends clinical expertise with nervous-system support, nourishment, and education so you can feed your baby from a place of clarity, confidence and deep self-trust.
03
Ceremony and Bodywork
Rituals in the early postpartum space serve more than one purpose. Some are rooted in gentle practices that aid physical healing like herbal sitz baths, which promotes warmth, circulation and pelvic recovery. Others such as light massage and gentle bodywork are offered as quiet ceremonies to slow down, reconnect to yourself and create space for integration.
04
Education
There’s so much to learn in the early weeks about both you and your baby. This portion of the program is about helping you feel informed, confident and supported. We might explore postpartum recovery, diapering, soothing, infant bathing, baby-wearing techniques, getting comfortable with your first outings or navigating the emotional shifts of this season. The focus is on building your confidence and helping you tune in to what feels right for you and your baby.
